The Issue

argenx, a global company, was growing at an exponential pace. The communications and human resources departments at argenx identified the need to unify all colleagues around a consistent understanding and illustration of the company’s cultural pillars. Additionally, they sought to gather insights and data to better understand the employee experience. This sparked the idea of initiating a company-wide cultural dialogue session program. Ethos was subsequently hired to build and execute the program from start to finish.

The Solution

Ethos developed a name and brand identity for the program, calling it Culture Lab. Following this, an implementation process began, which included training select argenx employees, referred to as Champions, who would facilitate conversations with colleagues throughout the year. These Champions were brought together in Belgium for a two-day training experience, during which they co-designed the script for each session. Additionally, the Champions received an interactive workbook and various gift items.

The Outcome

Ethos collaborated with the argenx Business Information Systems team to launch the Culture Lab landing page, featuring session sign-up functionality, on the company’s intranet. Additionally, Ethos developed a logistical plan for scheduling sessions and formulated a comprehensive communications plan. Equipped with facilitation toolkits that included a session outline and deck, videos, Zoom backgrounds, polls, surveys, and email communications, the Champions began conducting Culture Lab sessions. The response from colleagues was overwhelmingly positive, and participation numbers met the targets.
